Cevat and Nasdaq journalist Jill Malandrino discussed The TMRW Foundation’s position in the Web 3.0-economy and how it ties into our plans to ensure that the future of the internet is established on trust, empowering people, and delivering benefits for the planet while allowing for sustainable profits.
A key question was about trust and true identity in Web 3.0. Although we will all continue to enjoy the escapism of avatars, gaming environments, and virtual entertainment experiences, true connection can only take place if we are able to be ourselves in the digital realm. As Cevat said in the interview:
“If you want to establish this new technology in everyday life, trust is key. People trust what they know. You can’t trust an avatar in a virtual world. You trust real people, a doctor’s office, a bank, a classroom, branded functional spaces in business and familiar situations. That is our inspiration.”
As in everything The TMRW Foundation is working on, our belief in the power of reality drives every process and product. Trust starts with the experience: it’s about real people, in familiar real spaces, experiences that solve real problems. When we add true accountability to that, we have a strong future for the internet.
