The TMRW Foundation announced the launch of the Internet of Life™ platform, dedicated to learning and sharing ideas about our vision for a new internet that empowers individuals and fosters human togetherness.
The Internet of Life™ is inspired by the power of reality and how people come together, collaborate, and communicate. It represents the third evolution of the internet, a shift from static 2D web pages to dynamic and immersive 3D spaces. Our mission is to provide new avenues for collective creation, connection, and collaboration in realistic environments where people can interact as themselves, not as anonymous avatars.
Our founder and CEO, Cevat Yerli, described the project: “We are building technology that democratizes location and creates new ways to do what people love: create collectively, connect, and collaborate in realistic environments as real people, not anonymous avatars.”
At the core of our vision lies The TMRW Foundation and its dedication to the Internet of Life™. We believe that the future of human togetherness hinges on the evolution from Web 2.0’s connected pages to the interconnected 3D spaces of the next generation of the web. We are committed to placing genuine human presence at the forefront of this paradigm shift. Our goal is not merely to construct virtual places that meet technical or aesthetic requirements, but to design them to cater to the needs of real people, fostering digital accountability, a sense of reality and human empathy.
To embody the diverse facets of this vision and bring a wide range of voices to the forefront, we have launched a dedicated website for the Internet of Life™. There, visitors can explore its fundamental principles, delve into articles covering various perspectives, and read contributions from the broader community regarding the challenges we face as we venture into the frontier of Web 3.0. We warmly invite you to join us on this extraordinary journey at www.internetoflife.org.
